The little plant I’m featuring in this post belogs to a different genus than the other ones in my succulent collection. This plant is belonging to the genus called kalanchoe, which actually comes from a Chinese name. This mean this group of plants has origins in Asia and Africa and was know already i at the end of 1700s with different varieties already identified and studied.
This variety has big red-rimmed leaves that have given it also the name of paddle plant or flapjacks. The other characteristic is quite long stems with clusters of white flowers, tyrse-like. I am looking forward for it to grow to the point it can flower so magnificiently.
