🇬🇧 Climbing up one of the alleys that lead to the Spanish quarters from Piazza Plebiscito in Naples, Antica Trattoria da Nanninella is a restaurant not to be missed for an experience of Neapolitan colour at the table. My preference certainly goes to the outdoor tables, on the steps of the uphill road, and for the seafood menu, which is always fresh and cooked with care. What will remain most impressed on you, however, is the absolutely extraordinary service of the patron Rosario who will treat you as one of the family who comes to eat at his mother’s. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you had in mind to eat because Rosario will offer you the best of the day from his kitchen and you won’t regret it: from buffalo mozzarella prepared the Capri’s way, passing through a baked red snapper and ending with the inevitable babà. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Naples.

🇮🇹 Inerpicato su per uno dei vicoli che portano ai quartieri spagnoli da Piazza Plebiscito a Napoli, l’Antica Trattoria da Nanninella è un ristorante da non perdere per un’esperienza del colore napoletano a tavola. La mia preferenza va sicuramente ai tavoli all’aperto, sugli scalini della strada in salita, e per il menu di pesce che è sempre fresco e cucinato con cura. Quello che vi rimarrà più impresso però è io servizio assolutamente straordinario del patron Rosario che vi tratterà come uno di famiglia che viene a mangiare dalla mamma. A volte non importa quello che avevate in testa di mangiare perché Rosario vi offrirà il meglio del giorno della sua cucina e non ve ne pentirete: dalla mozzarella di bufala preparata alla caprese, passando per un dentice al forno e finendo con degli immancabili babà. Sicuramente uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti a Napoli.
